Dachshunds Dobbie and Roscoe both love to cuddle! They are warm and friendly pals to have around.
Both dogs are good on a leash. The foster has let them run around the yard, but because they are good on leashes, and are friendly dogs, we believe they will do well on walks. They are healthy and should enjoy walking.
Dobbie and Roscoe are not loud dogs. They bark at appropriate times (like when neighbors walk by) in order to properly keep you alerted to visitors and passers by. It is reported that they do not approve of cats. So far, they do not use crates.
These little sweeties sleep in their own dog beds and are not accustomed to sleeping with the foster parent. It’s likely they would enjoy sleeping in the big bed if their person is there and wants them to because they love cuddling.
Neither of the dogs are food or toy aggressive. Although they do okay in the car, they aren’t particularly crazy about car rides.
There are no major signs of anxiety but Dobbie can be more timid and a little bit anxious at time. They are both incredibly nice dogs who enjoy meeting people and other dogs.
Both dogs like being able to be outside in the fenced yard. They are working on house training and have made strides of improvement. It’s likely they will go through an adjustment period upon adoption, but they are great dogs and well worth the effort.
Roscoe wants to be with his person all the time and is a very active senior. Dobbie is more laid back and a little bit shy. They spend a lot of time in the fenced yard at their foster home. They love to lay in the sunshine and hang out in the fresh air.
In our care they have received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Spay or Neuter, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication. Being neutered has helped the house training and they are well on their way in this department.
Dachshunds Dobbie and Roscoe – 4 yr, 14 lbs & 10 yr, 17 lbs.
Dobbie and Roscoe are a wonderful pair of dachshunds who are bonded and will be adopted together. They are healthy and fully vetted. If you are searching for a couple of sweet dogs who like people and get along with other dogs, they could be the right pair for you! It will be important that the adopter be willing to continue to work on their house training and they could benefit from short walks on the leash. They have a lot of love and plenty of cuddles to give and would enjoy someone who is home a good bit. Adoption fee $550 for the pair
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
