Adoptable mix Phoebe is 17 lbs of cuteness and fun. She is 10 years old, but looks and acts like a much younger dog. Chasing her balls, going for walks and lying in the warm sun are her favorite activities. Phoebe is house trained and not an excessive, barker or a runner.
She is not at all destructive, and although we have been told she is not good with small children, she has been very friendly with all the older kids and adults she has met. Small dog meetings have been OK but big dogs bring that stripe up her back.
Because she gets so attached to her humans and enjoys being the queen bee, an adult home with someone who is home most of the time would be the best fit for her. Although she has never had an accident when her people are home, she has left surprises when left alone.
Car rides are not enjoyable for her as she gets anxious and shakes and pants when she has to travel. Phoebe has a great dachshund personality and would be a wonderful companion to anyone who has a lot of time and love to share.
She is not friendly with new dogs but has lived with other dogs peacefully.
When kept on a good schedule, she avoids accidents in the house. Her fosters take her out in the morning after she eats, again in the late afternoon, and before bed. With this schedule, there have been no issues with accidents. She does not like to be left alone and has had some accidents when she is left unattended. That is a work in progress.
Adoptable Mix Phoebe – 10 yrs, 17 lbs
Adoptalbe mix Phoebe is just a joy. She is very playful and loves nothing more than chasing her tennis ball or going for a long walk. She is somewhat of a velcro dog in that she always wants to be in the same room as her people. Phoebe would do best in an adult home or a home with older children where someone is around most of the time. Adoption Fee is $250

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
