Adoptable mix Bijou is a social and friendly little girl who is looking for love and companionship! Smart, and well-behaved, she deserves a forever family.
If you’re looking to adopt a dog to happily live with a pack of others, Bijou is the perfect fit! Bijous is five years old and weighs fifteen pounds. She currently lives with three other dogs, adjusted well to their environment and gets along well with them. Bijou also enjoys going to the dog park and meeting new people and new dogs! She met the neighbors cat the other day and although she took notice of her, she soon turned her attention away.
Bijou was given up by her previous owner because she bit their three-year-old boy once when the toddler unexpectedly threw his arms around her. Although there were never any other issues with her, we believe it would be best to not adopt her to home with small children. Bijou has seen older children at the park and on walks and has not shown any aggression towards them.
She’s a sweet and easy going girl who deserves a wonderful forever home!
This girl is described by her foster mom as “a gentle and loving companion”. She plays with her foster sibling in the back yard and enjoys going for walks. She walks well in a harness and doesn’t pull. When at the dog park, she is well mannered and doesn’t jump or bark at new people.
At home, Bijou sleeps with her pack in the big bed. She doesn’t show any food or toy aggression. Bijou likes to sit outside in the fenced in area and occasionally barks but will stop when she is reminded. She’s not an excessive barker.

She hasn’t had a single accident in her foster home and knows how to use the doggy door to go outside. This smart girl is a joy to have around.
Sweet Bijou is ready to go to her forever home. She has been fully vetted, is up to date now on shots, and is ready to make new friends with a forever family. Ideally, she would have a yard or someone who enjoys getting out to walk and have other dogs around, if not in the home, then nearby to visit regularly.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
