Adoptable Mix Achillies – “Chewy” is described as a happy-go-lucky boy who is also independent. He loves car rides and going for walks! His adventurous spirit to try new things and not give much mind to meeting new people makes him the perfect dog for someone who is seeking a dog that likes to go out and run errands or be in controlled social settings.
He doesn’t mind living with other dogs (big and small) as long as they are not in his space. He currently likes to sleep on a recliner next to the big bed. Previous owners crated Chewy. He is house-trained and knows how to use a doggy door without accidents in the house. This independent boy does well when left alone, shows no signs of anxious behavior, and doesn’t seem to bark much at all.
It is best if Chewy is placed in a home without cats. He will chase them. He hasn’t been exposed to children so it would be best to be in a home without small children.
Foster mom states, “Chewy is very loving but not needy” and “would also be happy to be someone’s lap dog.” He is quite the catch!

Chewy is ten-years-old and weighs twenty-five pounds. He does require a daily dose of Apaquel for itchiness due to a flea allergy. Chewy has been fully vetted, microchipped and ready to go to his forever home!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
