Adoptable Dachshunds Vienna and Uno – This mother and son duo are a special case seeking a special home. Two-year-old Vienna was found with her one-day old puppy, Uno. Only Vienna knows what happened to her and why she was found with her boy Uno. These two are very bonded and will only be adopted out as a pair. They love each other very much.
It took weeks for Vienna to trust foster mom to touch Uno. She is very protective of her baby. She is a great mom! Once you are trusted, Vienna enjoys giving friendly licks and is happy to see you. She is reluctant and doesn’t enjoy meeting new people or animals. She also had to wear a muzzle at the vet. Her adoptive family must be patient and work with gaining her trust and respect her boundaries.
Uno is a happy boy. He is feisty, playful, and is friendly meeting new people and animals. Playing with his mom’s ears and chew toys are some of his favorite things! Uno and Vienna wiggle their tails and are so happy to be reunited if they are apart for a short period of time.
At home, Vienna is house trained. It did take her some time to feel comfortable leaving Uno to go out and go potty. Uno is of course still learning the ropes to being potty trained since he is a puppy. Vienna howls when she is apart from Uno. She does have separation anxiety and will do best if she is able to be around her puppy most of the day.
Adoptable Dachshunds Vienna and Uno – 2 yr, 12 lbs and puppy
We are looking for the right fit for this mother and son pair. It would be ideal for them to be adopted into a home with no other dogs or small children, since Vienna is very protective of Uno and hesitant with unknown people and situations. Their forever home must be patient and kind with Vienna, as she has most likely had a tough start to life and is learning how to be trusting while caring for her puppy. In the right home, Vienna and Uno will thrive and be double the love and loyalty one could ever need.
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
