Adoptable dachshunds Clifford and Eloise are brother and sister but they would do well if they were adopted together or separately. They like each other fine but aren’t really bonded where they can’t be apart. They are both very sweet.
Clifford is 9 years old and weighs 21 pounds. Eloise is 9 years old and weighs 18 pounds. They are friendly with other dogs. Clifford and Eloise had no problem adjusting to foster siblings. They rarely ever irritate each other, just compete for the pets!
They haven’t been tested with small kids, cats, or big dogs, they bark but don’t get aggressive when they have seen big dogs. Kids over 12 would be ideal. They are friendly when meeting new people although they may bark initially, they’re never aggressive.
Each of them enjoy walks and are good on a leash. They both like to pull so a halter is best. Both are house trained but have become accustomed to using doggie pads when left alone for long. Both are crate trained but don’t love it.
They both love to sleep in bed with their foster mom and want their own blankies. Sometimes they even whine to be tucked in! Neither dog is food or toy aggressive. They do both love to de-fluff their toys and eat very fast but they are not aggressive.
Clifford is always happy and can be such a silly and goofy guy like when he spins in circles when you put his food bowl down or just craws over everyone to get his share of the pets! He loves belly rubs and stuffy toys and naps. He loves to take his time and sniff everything outdoors.
Eloise is super sweet but a little shy. But once she warms up to you she is the sweetest little cuddle bug who loves to be on your lap. Don’t let her fool you though because she absolutely loves her stuffy toys and will rip all the stuffing out in a day then carry the empty shell around! She adores fuzzy blankets and wants to burrow under one whenever she sleeps.
Clifford is not shy at all. Eloise is shy and timid but very loving when she warms up. Both Clifford and Eloise get so excited when you come home and give pretty clear signals when they need to go out to pee.
These super sweeties need to find a loving home. We’d love to see them stay together, but are willing to entertain applications on either.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
