Adoptable Dachshund JoJo 2 – Adopted

Introducing Adoptable Dachshund JoJo 2, the delightful 8-year-old Dachshund weighing in at 13lbs. JoJo is a social butterfly, effortlessly making friends with dogs of all sizes. He’s particularly fond of the dog park, where he’s the life of the party, greeting everyone with squeals of happiness. While he doesn’t engage in play with his foster sibling, he adores their company and enjoys snuggling up for some quality time.

While he has not been tested with large dogs for an extended period of time, JoJo does fine when he meets them on the leash. He even seems to enjoy the big dogs best at the dog park through the fence.

Jojo does not do well with cats. He is overly eager to meet them. It is unclear whether he would be aggressive towards them in a dangerous way, or if it is over excitement, but we do not recommend placing him in a home with cats.

JoJo’s love extends to people of all ages, from young children to adults. He’s a true cuddle bug, always eager to snuggle up on your lap or beside you on the couch. His friendly nature shines through when meeting new people, as he’ll quickly roll onto his back for belly rubs.

Jojo sleeps in his crate practically every night without issue. His foster parents have not crated him during the day or while they are out, because it is completely unnecessary. Jojo has proven to be a angel when given free roam access.

Good on walks and well-behaved on a leash, JoJo’s enthusiasm for strolls is contagious. He doesn’t pull unless he spots another animal, showcasing his excellent leash manners. House trained and crate trained, JoJo is an angel both at night and during the day, showing no signs of separation anxiety.

Jojo’s prey instincts are on over-drive. He loves to hunt for lizards, chase squirrels, cats, birds and any other small animal. He is not aggressive with toys or food and has shown no signs of aggression towards other animals when it comes to sharing. Jojo eats every meal as if it were his last and will swallow his food in less than 30 seconds if a slow feeder is not used.

Jojo has never met a stranger. Whether its a maintenance person coming to the home, the delivery driver, another pawrent at the dog park, or a long time friend, Jojo will, without a doubt, come up, lay on his back and ask for pets. He is simply an all around lover, and enjoys the company of any human. As soon as you sit on the couch, Jojo IMMEDIATLEY, will place half of body onto your lap to get in some snuggle time. If you move, he will follow.

In our care, he has received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments

Need a little love in your life? Jojo is your man! Despite his small size, JoJo has a big heart and an adventurous spirit. He is an all around good boy with endless amounts of love to give. He enjoys companionship and would bring so much light and love to any home. Jojo, and his ever wagging tail, enjoys long walks, hunting small animals, and cuddle sessions with his canine or human friends. He is completely house broken, and walks well on-leash.
