Introducing Doxie Mix Potato

Introducing Doxie Mix Potato! This handsome little guy is 12 years old and weighs in at 17 pounds. Don’t let his age fool you, Potato is an active pup who loves his walks and loves playing with his foster siblings! He is the type of dog that picks his person and just wants to stay by their side forever. If you are looking for one of the most loyal pups the world has ever seen, Potato is looking for you too!

Introducing Doxie Mix Potato

Potato is a friendly little pup and loves making canine friends of all sizes. He has done great with both big and small dogs, and has done well with cats too! We are unsure how he would do around younger children, but he has done great around older children for short periods of time. Ideally, an adult-only home would be a great place for Potato to live out his golden years.

Introducing Doxie Mix Potato

Potato does well on leash and really enjoys taking walks around the neighborhood. Potato is house-trained, but wears a belly band when left alone in his foster home as a precaution. He has not had to use the crate while in his foster home, so we are unsure if he is crate-trained or not. He does well with having free roam of the house when left alone, so ideally he would enjoy a forever home that offers him that as well. Potato likes lounging around in the dog beds, but he would much prefer spending the night sharing the big bed with his humans. A home where he could spend every night cuddling up with his humans is his idea of perfection!

Introducing Doxie Mix Potato

He loves relaxing on the big bed and the couch so much that he can get pretty upset when trying to be moved off of it. He is also known to give a gentle growl when another dog or person gets near him while he is eating, so it is important for his future adopters to know this so they can prevent any problems in the future when it comes to feeding time. Potato seems to have a bit of separation anxiety as he will whine and pace for a while before settling down when his foster parents leave the house.

Introducing Doxie Mix Potato

Potato loves a good car ride and is always excited to meet new people and new dogs! While in his foster home, he’s been on lots of outings where he has made many new human and canine friends. Potato’s foster mom shares that Potato has the happiest, friendliest disposition!

In our care, Potato has received all of the following: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Minor Surgery (such as removal of benign cyst), Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication, Major Dental (cleaning and removal)

The perfect home for Potato would be a home where he doesn’t have to be left alone too often or for too long at a time. Despite these few quirks, Potato is an amazing little guy and will thrive in a home that understands these things and is willing to work on them. Adoption fee $150

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
