Introducing Dachshund Atuel – 12 years old, approximately 16 pounds, and ready to steal the heart of her future adopter! After spending years traveling with a circus, our little world-traveler Atuel found herself at the rescue and is now ready to find her forever home to live out her golden years in.
Atuel gets along great with other small dogs! Since coming to the rescue, Atuel has not been around big dogs or cats so we are unsure how she would do with either. She also has not been around children since coming to the rescue, so we can’t say for sure how she would do but we think she would do well with older children who understand dogs and their boundaries.
Atuel enjoys walks and does great on leash! She gets so excited when it is time for her to get her harness on because she knows she’s about to go for a walk. Atuel is fully house-trained and crate trained. She hasn’t used the crate too often while in her foster home but she has had no issues with it the times it has been used. In her foster home, she has shown no signs of food or toy aggression. She is not a big barker and is totally fine being left alone for a while, although she’d definitely prefer to be with her humans as much as possible! She is a very well-trained pup and a total lovebug.
Vetting
In our care, she has received all of the following: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Nails Trimmed, Heart Worm testing and medication, Major Dental (cleaning and removal)
Every dog who comes to Low Rider is fully vetted. If you are interested in helping with our mission, it is appreciated. We depend on individual donations to care for the dogs. Thank you!
Introducing Dachshund Atuel – 12 yrs, 16 lbs
Atuel enjoys using the dog beds around the house but prefers to be snuggled up with her humans at night in the big bed. Her ideal home would be one where her humans let her spend the night on the big bed with them! Atuel enjoys car rides and loves meeting new people and new pups. Once she decides she likes a person, she makes sure they know. She loves curling up on the couch next to her people and sometimes even sitting in their laps asking for pets. She follows her foster mom around from room to room throughout the day. She is just the definition of a loving and loyal pup! Adoption fee is $200
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
