Really sad 😢 we have to worry about this, but many rescue pages do. If we have a group to share, it will be in an original post (like this one) from Low Rider admin NOT in a comment trying to lead you somewhere else. Many nefarious dog sellers and thieves looking to take advantage - LEGITIMATE rescues do NOT go to other pages and comment over and over again to unsuspecting followers!

UPDATE on BENSON - Veterinarian Neurosurgeon, Ashl

UPDATE on BENSON - Veterinarian Neurosurgeon, Ashley Kelly called to let us know that Benson did well in surgery. He is in recovery and will stay at the emergency overnight so they can keep a close watch on him. Ashley believes that he will walk again and we will know in a couple of weeks if he will regain the control needed to empty his bladder. Keep praying for Benson! He's the sweetest dog - everyone who meets him falls in love. If our #LowRiderSuperHero surgeon, Ashley, didn't have a new baby at home (and 3 dachshunds already) we would likely be doing an adoption contract with her! She's an extremely caring surgeon and new friend to Low Rider.

His current foster mom, Michelle Balibar, also deserves a proper shout out as she rushed to get him last night and will be waiting with open arms to care for him upon release. We're all holding out high hopes for this special dog. He has a long and happy life ahead and we're hopeful this surgery will be a complete success

🙏 Prayers for Benson! He’s going into surgery right now to repair damage to his 4th and 5th vertebrae so he can walk again. This one is a bit tricky because of the location of his injury. His neurosurgeon from SCAN of Naples is a dedicated dachshund lover and she will be using her mad skills to give him the life he deserves. Thank you to all who donate to Low Rider to make this kind of thing possible for a 7 year old sweetheart Benson. He has a full life ahead!
