Sad news today as we say goodbye to this precious pup. At least we know that Little Rose got to live out the last month of her life with love and tender care, and a full belly - which is much more than she had before. Cornelius came to Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Fl

Cornelius came to Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida from a shelter with an unknown injury to his leg. The vet determined that it was in bad condition and had been left untreated. We got him to a surgeon who specializes in such injuries and they were able to save his leg! He will undergo further vetting and be neutered. After recovery, 2 year old Cornelius will go to a loving forever home and begin living the good life. Until then, he is in a nurturing foster home receiving much needed love and care. Bowski was taken in from a home where he was not getting along with the children. The owners thought they had to put him down, but this 2 year old dachshund is a sweetheart, except for his prejudice against kids! He will be fully vetted and updated on his vaccines and then will go to live happily ever after in a family where he isn't in contact with little ones and where he can be his adorable self without fear. Daisy's life was literally saved in the nick of time yesterday! She took her 4 hour freedom ride with a volunteer and is now resting happily in the home of her new foster mommy.
