Adoptable Senior Eagle
Eagle was surrendered by a family that had him all his life and loved him very much. Their daughter and granddaughter moved in with them and the granddaughter caused him stress with her actions so they felt it best to give him a different loving environment and not take any chances around their small grandchild. Eagle is 15 years old and weighs 14 pounds. You’d never know he was 15 as he acts and is in the condition of a much younger dog!
He doesn’t bark much, isn’t overly concerned with guests coming over, and is an all around good boy who has been well cared for.
Eagle does not actively play with other dogs but he does not mind them. The only time he has as issue with them is when they are looking for attention from his person that is currently paying attention to him. A little jealousy issue perhaps BUT he does listen when told to mind his manners at those times. You just have to watch for them.
He has received a dental cleaning and still has most of his teeth. No trouble eating dry kibble. While he was under anesthesia for his dental, a lump was removed from in front of his rear left leg. It was found to be nothing of concern but it was in a location of muscles needed for walking and it was somewhat in the way of that so we removed it.
Eagle enjoys belly rubs and exploring the yard at his own pace. He is a great companion for a single person that wants some company but has no issues with male or female so would be fine with a couple as well. We can’t stress enough that he does not act his age nor does any of his physical state even come close to an average 15 year old dog. He appears to act and feel more like a 9 to 11 years old. He has a lot of life to live and a lot of love to give!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
