Adoptable Mix Patty Cake is only 5 years old and 6 pounds. Patty Cake just makes you want to clap your hands because she’s so full of cuteness and positivity. She may be shy at first but very willing to try new things. Sometimes the mistreatment in her past can make her wary.
Despite her past mistreatment, she has the most wonderful disposition. Her initial shyness fades quickly in the right environment. She doesn’t bark excessively or show any real signs of anxiety.
Described by her foster mom as optimistic and happy. She may be a little scared of big energetic dogs if they play too rough, but she’s friendly with other dogs.
When riding in the car, she immediately goes to sleep. There is no food or toy aggression. Patty Cake sleeps in her dog bed. She is also crate trained. Patty Cake is house-trained. As long as she gets out regularly she is fine. Occasional accidents but rarely.
She follows very readily but is scared of leash. She loves riding in a stroller. A safe yard is important for Patty Cake as she still has a fear of the leash. Her foster mom takes her on walks where there are no cars around or keeps her in the stroller.
While she is good with kids, very young children would not be the best choice because of her size. Older children would be fine. Patty Cake loves cats! She plays well with other dogs and cats as long as they aren’t too bouncy. Even large dogs are ok with her.
In our care they have received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Spay or Neuter, Major Surgery (such as cancer tumor removal), Skin treatments/ infections, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication. She has had successful surgery in both knees but no problems now. She is sometimes itchy and receives Cytopoint shots, is receiving a dental for a loose tooth.
Every dog who is rescued by Low Rider is fully vetted and receives the care they need to gain a new “leash” on life! If you can assist with vetting expenses, it is greatly appreciated!

This is a happy optimistic little dog who is good at amusing herself. She loves other dogs and cats and should go to a multi pet household. Her small neurological issues are no problem for her and her slight uncoordination just makes her cuter and unique. Her favorite game is to find a leaf or long blade of grass and run around like she’s carrying the Olympic torch. She will spend hours in the yard inventing games and trotting around like she’s on an important mission. Adoption fee $250

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
