Adoptable Mix Lola is a sweet, three-year-old dachshund mix that is doing well in her foster home. We are hoping to find her just the right forever home in 2023. Her foster mom describes her as an easy dog who gets along with children and other dogs. Her previous family had two children (1 and 3) which she did very well with. It is unknown how she gets along with cats.
Her typical day includes following her humans around the house and outside in the backyard. She does whine a bit if her person excludes her from the bathroom (typical dachshund). Lola does well in a crate if she is left home alone, however, she prefers to be out and about in the house if you are home. She likes the couch and dog bed but will snuggle up to you when it is bedtime.
Another typical dachshund trait Lola possesses is her reluctance to potty when it is raining. She will quickly do her business and get back inside. This girl is fully house trained; however, you have to ask her if she needs to go outside.
Lola has not shown any food or toy aggressiveness in her foster home. She has transitioned well to hanging out with her foster siblings. Lola enjoys their company but will sometimes show territorial behavior over her human.
Adoptable Mix Lola 3 years – 20 lbs
You will win Lola over with cuddles and giving her a bone to chew on. She shows no anxiety when riding in the car or meeting new people. Lola is a bit shy at first, but quickly warms up to new friends if her human shows her it is ok. Remarkably, Lola didn’t even show any signs of anxiety during the New Year’s Eve fireworks display. She isn’t afraid of loud noises and doesn’t bark excessively.
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
