Meet Adoptable Mix Laci! Laci is an adorable 10 year old, weighing in at only 6 pounds. Foster mom calls Laci a certified sweetheart and a joy to be around! Laci is dog friendly, housetrained, a good adventure buddy, and a lover of cuddles… What more could you ask for?!
Laci gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home, but prefers the company of humans over other animals. She will co-exist just fine with other pups, but will also do we;; as an only dog as long as there are humans at home for most of the time. We are unsure how she would do with bigger dogs, but we think she would do just fine with proper introductions. We are unsure how she would do with cats or with young children (like under 5), but we know she would do well with older children who understand and respect her boundaries.
With great leash manners, Laci loves to go on walks! She is fully housebroken and was also pee-pad trained before coming to her foster home. She does fine being crated but definitely would prefer to be given free roam. Laci loves her dog beds but loves cuddling up in the big bed with her humans even more. When given the choice, she’ll always choose to sleep with her humans. She also just loves being close to her people. Her foster family shared that she can often be found just lounging on the couch next to her humans, enjoying some good quality time. Laci has shown no food or toy aggression while in her foster home. She’s not a big fan of toys at all, according to her foster family.
Laci doesn’t mind car rides at all! She is a great companion in the car and is very well-behaved for trips. She loves being outside. Laci is friendly with meeting new people. She can be a little shy at first, but warms up pretty quickly and loves getting all the pets. She is also friendly with meeting new dogs, she will say hi and then move on fairly quickly and go back to being her human’s shadow. Laci is not a big barker and generally only barks when the other dogs bark but quickly stops after being told to. She has a little separation anxiety and gets a little sad when her favorite person leaves, but generally bounces back after a few minutes especially if there’s other people or dogs to occupy her.

She needs someone who is around most of the time, likes to go for walks, and would like to bring her along on some adventures. *Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
