Adoptable Mix Jackson is a friendly boy who loves to play! He’s house trained, and independent, yet affectionate. He’s an all around great dog.
Fine with meeting new people and dogs, for the most part, he just wants to sniff and tell the other dogs he is boss! There have been no issues with him in this department, but like most, he may need time to adjust to new dog friends. There is no reason to believe he would have a problem. He’s been around several dogs, big and small, without any trouble at all. He’s a social fella!
He is not anxious and isn’t an overzealous barker! As a matter of fact, Jackson is very independent and does fine at home alone for a few hours. When riding to the vet, he’s done well in the car.
Jackson could use some practice on the leash. He pulls when walking. With time and patience, this should improve.
With Low Rider, Jackson has received Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Major Surgery (such as cancer tumor removal or other), Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication.
Jackson’s foster mom has let him decide where to sleep. At times he’s in the mood to sleep on the couch and other times he prefers to cuddle up to her in the big bed. He hasn’t really used a dog bed in his foster home. What he does NOT like, however, are crates!
Adoptable Mix Jackson – 6 yrs, 15.5 lbs.
Although Jackson is not food or toy aggressive, he sure does like to play with his frisbees and chase balls! He dreams of a safe yard to play in and humans to call his own. His foster says, “Jackson is the best. Housebroken, independent, likes to cuddle, plays with toys, good with people and other dogs. ” If his foster mom didn’t have four, she would keep him!
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
