Adoptable Mix Daisy 2

Adoptable Mix Daisy 2 – At 8 years old and weighing in at 9 pounds, sweet little Daisy is on the search for her forever family. Described by her foster mom as a “go-with-the-flow kind of girl,” she is extremely happy just to hangout with her people whether that be taking naps on the couch, or going out and about. If you are looking for a dog who is just happy to be by your side, look no further.

Daisy would do fine with another dog in the home or she would also do fine as a solo dog. While in our care, she hasn’t really shown very interest in other dogs. She is perfectly content with them or without them around. We do think a more playful dog would encourage her to play, but she is not inherently playful so a canine companion is not a dealbreaker for Daisy.

While Daisy hasn’t had any experience living with cats while in our care, she pays no mind to the neighborhood cats near her foster home so we believe she would do perfectly fine co-existing with cats in the home. Daisy has not been exposed to children of any age for extended periods of time, but we believe she’d likely be fine living in a home with them. In her foster home, she has shown no interest one way or another with the neighborhood children. She allows them to touch her with no fear or anxiety but doesn’t seek them out.

Daisy loves her dog beds but prefers to sleep with her humans every time. She adores her people and will take any chance to be close to them. She has shown no food or toy aggression while in our care. According to her foster mom, little Daisy doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. She is very carefree, chill, and just goes with the flow at her foster home!

Daisy does very well in the car during car rides but she can be sneaky with trying to jump out the door if the door is left open, so it is very important for her to be carefully watched during times when the door is opening and closing and the use of a doggy seat belt would be a great idea to ensure her safety. When it comes to meeting new people, Daisy has no problems in this area. She is an all around lover who loves nothing more than head scratches, whether from her favorite people, or strangers. She does not get overly excited to meet new people and will gladly wait for them to come to her. She seems to bond more closely with men, but likes women too.

Daisy 2

In our care, Daisy has received all of the following: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Spay or Neuter, Minor Surgery (such as removal of benign cyst), Skin treatments/ infections, Nails Trimmed, Heart Worm testing and medication, Major Dental (cleaning and removal)

There are some important things to know about Daisy’s overall health. Most importantly, Daisy has extremely sensitive skin. When first arriving at the foster home, her skin was flaky, irritated, and itchy. She was prescribed medicated baths, and special lotions for several weeks. She was also prescribed the Atopivet collar that lasts for 2-3 months and improves her skin barrier. Currently, she is also given omega-3 supplements daily and her fur and skin have done a 180 degree turn around. She looks amazing now, and we would strongly recommend that her potential adopters continue doing this. Daisy also takes daily allergy meds (Zyrtec) prescribed for environmental allergies that caused frequent sneezing and reverse sneezing. This needs to be monitored with environmental changes. Daisy will be needing a dental in early 2025. After coming out of a tough situation, she is now thriving!

For Adoption

Adoptable Mix Daisy 2 – 8 yrs, 9 lbs

Daisy absolutely loves walks and would love a foster family who does as well! She does great on leash and can’t contain her excitement at the thought of a walk. She jumps, spins, and gets the zoomies anytime the leash comes out! She has great leash manners and proudly shows them off every time she gets to go for a walk. Daisy is completely house-trained and crate trained as well. Her foster parents say she really does not need to go in the crate as she does great with free roam, but she is trained in that area for times when it may be needed. She hardly ever barks and shows no signs of separation anxiety. This little pup has so many great traits that make her the ideal companion! Adoption fee $200
