Adoptable Dachshund Ruby is a wonderful, cuddly, loving pup that is curious about everything. She loves to play with a squeaky toy. Ruby enjoys her food and loves to be praised. She is a true delight.
Ruby loves to play with others but is happy to sit on a pile of toys and protect them from others. She has had IVDD so she must only have short walks with a harness and leash. Ruby goes outside to potty, and she also uses pee pee pads in the house but often misses them. She would be more successful with more opportunities to be outside.
Adoptable Dachshund Ruby doesn’t mind being in a bathroom with a gate; however, prefers her freedom around the house. Ruby tends to be guarded around other dogs and new people. She loves attention and is comfortable in most situations, and doesn’t react much to thunder. Ruby is not a loud pup…only if she feels the need to guard her food/toys. She will bark at mealtime…like HURRY UP!

Penny has had her Young (between 1-4) Vet Check, Major Surgery – IVDD, Nail Trim, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication. She is eagerly awaiting her forever home!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
