Adoptable Dachshund Marshall

Meet adoptable dachshund Marshall! Marshall is 12 years old, 11 pounds, and one of the sweetest little guys you will ever meet. He is dog friendly, kid friendly, and just an all around bundle of joy. He loves sunbathing, snuggles, and just being in the presence of his humans. Marshall can’t wait to find his forever home!

Adoptable Dachshund Marshall

Great with the other small dogs in his foster home, Marshall has proven that he enjoys playing with them. We are unsure how Marshall would do with bigger dogs, as he hasn’t been around any dogs significantly bigger than him since coming to the rescue. We are also not sure how he would do with cats since he hasn’t been around any since coming to the rescue. Marshall does great with children, both younger and older. He would do great as a family dog!

Adoptable Dachshund Marshall

Marshall likes walking and does well on the leash. He is fully house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He is also crate-trained and doesn’t mind the crate one bit. He loves his dog beds, but also loves to sleep with his humans in the big bed. We think Marshall would love a home where his forever humans let him snuggle with them at night. Marshall has shown no food or toy aggression while in his foster home.

Adoptable Dachshund Marshall

Adoptable Dachshund Marshall – 12 yrs, 11 lbs

Marshall enjoys car rides and does very well in the car. He also enjoys meeting new people- he will bark a bit at first and then relax fairly quickly. He does well with meeting new dogs too! Marshall has shown no signs of anxiety or separation anxiety while in his foster home, he doesn’t mind spending some time apart from his people. Marshall is, however, a bit of a vocal pup so an apartment setting would not be ideal for him. He will bark when people are at the door, when he hears other dogs barking outside, or just when he wants attention when his people are having a conversation. As long as you don’t mind a little “barkground music”, Marshall is the perfect pup! Adoption fee $200

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
