Adoptable Dachshund Elkie

Adoptable Dachshund Elkie

Adoptable Dachshund Elkie is such a sweet girl and also a quick learner. Elkie definitely loves meeting new people . She’s looking for those chest and belly rubs.

Showing no signs of anxiety, Elkie is just a happy girl. She is not an excessive barker and will also transport well on car rides. Short walks are no problem for this sweet senior. She does fine with older children. Younger ones would need to be supervised for her protection.

Although it is unknown as to how she feels about cats, it’s unlikely that she would cause a problem. She’s such a sweet girl! Getting along with other dogs has not been a problem.

Adoptable Dachshund Elkie

Like many dachshunds, she sleeps most of the day but enjoys breaks outside where she like to run around. It’s the cutest thing ever! She will also get up from her deep sleep, come to you and stand by your feet until you give her some rubs.

In our care they have received: Vet Check, Dental Exam, Spay or Neuter, Bloodwork – senior panel

Every dog who is rescued by Low Rider is fully vetted and receives the care they need to gain a new “leash” on life! If you can assist with vetting expenses, it is greatly appreciated!

Adoptable Dachshund Elkie – 9 yrs, 10 lbs

Adoptable Dachshund Elkie

Adoptable dachshund Elkie – At 9 years old, she still has plenty of life and love to give. This tiny bundle of love will be a joy in most any household. We officially call seniors (because doxies can live a long life) at 10 years of age. She’s looking forward to her golden years, spent with a loving person/people who will give her comfort, maybe a dog to pal around with, enjoy little walks, and of course, cuddle time!

Adoption fee is $250

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
