Adoptable Dachshund Aggie- Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Aggie (Agnes) is about a year and a half old. She is the sweetest cuddle bug and a constant shadow. She loves snuggles, pets and ALL of the attention. Aggie plays well with her foster bother, Oliver, and is kind as can be to her foster sister Izzy (who is deaf and blind). She’s a gentle soul!

Adoptable Dachshund Aggie

Aggie has settled in quite well to her new home and her own personality is blooming without having so many other dogs to compete with. Though still working on potty training, she is very good about using pee pads in the house. She took right to walking on the leash and loves daily trips around the neighborhood. Of course, with plenty of time to stop and smell everything along the way, as doxies do!

While out and about, she’s been friendly greeting both human and dog as she is enjoying her daily walks. Though terrific on the leash, she’ll chew the harness if left on all the time.

Aggie is crate trained, although her foster paw-rents have not had much reason to use it. She did fine with it when they did. Aggie has enjoyed sleeping in the big bed with her people at night and will nap along beside you as you sit on the couch.

When she first gets in the car, she seems a little rattled, but she soon calms right down and enjoys it. Initially, she was shy about meeting new people but she warms up quickly. There’s been no excessive barking, just regular dachshund speak!

In our care, she has received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Spay or Neuter, Heart Worm testing and medication.

Aggie is the sweetest little peanut who only wants the love and adoration of her humans all day long! She’s happy to sit on the couch and snuggle or follow you wherever you go. She loves going on walks and playing with her foster brother running around the yard. Squeaky toys are her favorite thing to trot around the house with! Aggie is still working on her house training and will need someone who is patient with her in learning. She is a pro at using the pee pads inside however.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
