Meet Trooper and Tanner Adoptable Doxies! Trooper is 10 years old and weighs 20 pounds. Tanner is 14 years old and weighs 14 pounds. These two are the best of friends and a package deal!

Tanner and Trooper get along with other pups, both big and small. While they are the best of friends, they are always happy to make new friends too! We are unsure how they would do in a home with cats or with children as they haven’t been around either since coming to the rescue.

Tanner and Trooper enjoy their walks and both do good on leash. Trooper is fully house-trained, Tanner is not. This may be age related, as Tanner is an older guy who likely just can’t hold his bladder as well as he used to but he has made progress with house-training while in his foster home. They have not been crated while in their foster home, so we are unsure if they are crate-trained or not. Neither pup has shown any food or toy aggression while in their foster home. They are not big barkers and do not show any signs of separation anxiety.

These two enjoy spending their days lounging around on the dog beds, but they prefer spending their nights cuddled up with their humans in the big bed. The ideal adopters for this pair would be someone who allows them to sleep in the big bed at night. Tanner and Trooper enjoy car rides and sit well in their doggy car seats! They are friendly meeting new people and love meeting new pups as well.

When it comes to their personalities, there are some differences but together they make the perfect pair! Trooper needs someone to just love and cuddle with and will follow you around the house from room to room to make sure you know how much he loves you! Trooper loves to play with his squeaky toys and finds so much joy in playtime. He loves to go on walks, run around in the backyard, and go on car rides. Tanner is a little more laid back in comparison to Trooper but he has his moments of fun and will join in on running around and playing with the other pups. After a few minutes, he will find a dog bed and plop down on it. Tanner still loves walks and can keep up with the younger pups. They are both good eaters and love treats.

When it comes to their health, these guys are fairly healthy for their ages. Trooper is on carprofen for arthritis, and Tanner is on chews for liver support. Trooper will also need a dental within the next year. Trooper is 10 years old and weighs 20 pounds. Tanner is 14 years old and weighs 14 pounds.

In our care, they have received all of the following: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Skin treatments/ infections, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication, Major Dental (cleaning and removal)

Trooper and Tanner Adoptable Doxies – 10 yrs, 14 yrs

The ideal home for these two would be a home where someone is home a good bit of the time. With them both being seniors, we feel that they deserve all the love all the time! They would also love a home with a fenced in backyard as running around in the yard is one of their biggest joys. Their ideal home would be a home where they are allowed free-roam when their adopters are away and where they can spend the night snuggled up with their humans in the big bed. Adoption fee $450 for the pair!
