Adoptable Mix Dolly is a calm, sweet senior girl who loves to be on your lap and she just soaks up the love! She’s a tiny girl who has been through a lot in her life and is looking for a calm, loving retirement home.
Adoptable Mix Dolly
She was very thin and her fur was sparse but with good nutrition and antibiotics, she has filled out nicely and her fur has grown in. She has a heart murmur but the ultrasound showed it is just due to age and is nothing serious.
With previous periodontal disease, she had 11 teeth extracted in order to get rid of the infection in her mouth. She eats her soft food easily and has a wonderful appetite!
Dolly has chronic kidney disease that is being managed by food, supplements and subcutaneous fluids. Her latest lab work showed that with this regimen her values are all very close to normal.
Princess Dolly doesn’t act like a princess so much as she loves everyone! We call her princess because she’s incredibly sweet and terrific when meeting people. Everyone loves her right back, they just can’t help but to adore her. She handles other dogs very well also.
She doesn’t bark excessively, isn’t shy or timid, and shows no signs of anxiety. As a matter of fact, she rarely barks at all. Car rides do seem to make her nervous. She trembles in the car.
Dolly sleeps well in her dog bed independently and doesn’t seem to mind a crate when needed. She goes outside to use the bathroom, but has had accidents in the house. Frequent breaks could help, but she doesn’t enjoy going for walks on the leash. She walks slowly and never very far. A home with a safely fenced yard could be important for her as well as a schedule with frequent breaks.
Dolly – Mix – 10 years old – 11 pounds
This little girl is something special and she will warm your heart everyday if you will find a place in your heart and your home for her. Dolly has been through much and deserves a calm atmosphere and is hoping for a little fenced yard so she can avoid the leash walks!
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
