Adoptable Mix Chloe

Adoptable Mix Chloe – When Chloe first came to Low Rider she stayed in her fosters sons room on his bed in her little corner so we gave her her space and slept in there with her at night. They would sit in there and watch TV to let her know she wasn’t alone and would pet her here and there until she was finally comfortable for them to pet her or hold her.

After about a week she finally was comfortable enough to come out of the room without her tail between her legs and would sit on the couch with us and explore the house, still cautions, but more relaxed.

Chloe attaches herself to one person but loves everyone especially kids. She can be a bit protective sometimes and growl when it comes to the other dogs but not aggressive at all. The only time she gets like this is when she is on her persons lap and the other dogs want to come up as well. Once she’s been told “no” and is told that they are ok to come up, she sits back down and they all cuddle together.

Chloe is the sweetest little pup! She needs time to warm up to people and her surroundings. She loves everyone once she does get used to them especially kids. Chloe gets VERY excited when her humans get home and will even run and jump

Chloe will howl and bark when left home even when the other dogs are around. We leave the tv on for her but she still sits at the window and waits and watches while she barks or howls. The only time Chloe barks is when her people leave the house. Thunder does not bother Chloe but loud noises do scare her especially when out on walks.

Chloe gets scared when meeting new dogs and will run to her safe spot until she is used to them. It took her a few days to get used to my chihuahua and to be comfortable around her but my Heidi (Dachshund) who barks at all newbies scared Chloe so it took her over a week to get comfortable enough not to run away when Heidi was near. Now all 3 are best buds and cuddle together.

Chloe is scared when meeting new adults. She is friendly but needs time to warm up to them. She is much better when meeting kids for the first time.

When taken out of her comfort zone, Chloe gets very nervous. The car rides to the vet made her really nervous. She even pooped in the car the first time because she was so scared.

Chloe loves to play with toys. When her foster sibling wants the toys Chloe is playing with she will just drop it and move on. She is not aggressive at all. A cuddler, Chloe likes to sleep in bed with her people.

Chloe is house trained. We leave a puppy pad down for her if we are gone more than a few hours and sometimes she’ll use it and other times she’ll hold it until we get home.
