Adoptable Dachshund Mix Lulu – This sweet girl is seven years old and twenty-five pounds. She is described by her foster mom as “a great dog with a pleasant temperament”. Lulu has adjusted well to her life in a foster home.
Additionally, she gets along nicely with the resident dachshund in the home and shows no signs of aggression towards the resident dog or anxiety in her new environment.
Lulu enjoys spending time outside chasing lizards and playing with her toys. When she gets excited while playing, Lulu can be vocal and plays with enthusiasm. Lulu also likes to “bury” her bones underneath blankets, couch cushions, and in piles of laundry. Lulu enjoys walks, even though she gets a little excited and will tug on her harness. She also likes to sit in the passenger seat in the car for car rides!
Lulu has not had any accidents in her foster home. She free roams when left home alone and has not chewed on anything while foster mom is gone. Lulu is a bit of a Houdini – she knows how to escape her crate! Lulu likes to nap all over the house, on the couch, on a dog bed, on the floor. She likes to be near you. When it is time for bed, she prefers to sleep at the foot of your bed.
Prior to arriving to Low Rider, it was noted that Lulu does not do well with small children. We have not observed Lulu this, nor around cats. Foster mom believes Lulu would be best suited in a home with smaller dogs as she was bitten in the past by a big dog and they may make her nervous. Lulu has met new people, and she was excited to make new friends!
In our care she has received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Heart Worm testing and medication.

Lulu has been fully vetted and is ready to find her family! She wants a good home where she can play, be near her people, and curl up on the couch. Lulu is house trained, friendly with dogs and people. She is a great dog and we know we will find her the perfect home where she can play and be loved. Adoption fee $250

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
