Adoptable Dachshund Mix Laci is a petite, sweet senior that is looking for her best friend. At just six pounds, Laci’s personality makes up for her size. Foster mom describes her to have the best cute, funny personality. She is the happiest when she is with her human, doing anything that you are doing!
Laci enjoys going for little walks around the neighborhood. She will run to the door and wait for her harness to be put on. Laci also enjoys car rides! A few of her favorite activities include going outside to soak in the sun, sitting on the couch watching tv with you and playing with you.
Laci has been an only child her entire life and would prefer to keep it that way. When she is around new dogs, Laci will avoid going near them and barks aggressively. Once she was settled into her foster home, she relaxed much more with the other female dogs. It’s very likely that she will do well with another buddy as long as she is given plenty of time to adjust. She also avoids cats and wouldn’t be a great fit for a family with small children due to her tiny size. When meeting new people, she is shy at first, but then warms up to them quickly.
Potty pads are used only when it is raining, or the grass is wet. Otherwise, Laci will go outside and potty. She does not like to be crated and is not destructive when left out, however, she does bark a lot when left home alone. Laci prefers not to be left alone much at all; she does have separation anxiety and will bark excessively.

Laci is a laid-back girl when her person is home. She is a velcro dog that enjoys doing anything with her person, and will be happy as an only dog or if she’s given plenty of time to adjust to a new buddy. She will sleep with you in the big bed and snuggle up on the couch. Laci has a lot of love to give, and she is waiting for the perfect home. Adoption Fee $200

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
