Adoptable Dachshund Mix Candy is a sweet, loving independent dog. She loves to hang out around her person, but has an independent spirit of her own. Candy has a lot of love to give and enjoys lazy days just hanging out!
Candy communicates to go out. She’ll head to her favorite spot to do her business quickly. She uses a piddle pad when left alone in her exercise pen. According to the vet, she is no older than 10 and no younger than 6, so we estimate her age at 8 years, though she acts more like a 6 year old!
The vet also said she is an acceptable weight now but her owner needs to be on top of her weight because she loves her meals and treats. Candy doesn’t like walks at all and will dig her heels in; however, she enjoys a ride in a stroller. Because of her fondness of treats, it’s possible that coaxing her on short walks with healthy treats could encourage the exercise. But truthfully, she prefers to just hang out!
Adoptable Dachshund Mix Candy should be encouraged to exercise, but she prefers lazy days. Candy sleeps well through the night in her own bed without issue.
She gets along with multiple dogs as long as they aren’t aggressive. Candy gets very anxious around an aggressive dog and may howl to voice her displeasure.

Candy has had her Vet Check, with dental exam. She is up to date on vaccines and is ready for her forever home. Candy would love to find her forever family so that she may show her personality and thrive!

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
