Adoptable Dachshund Cooper is a beauty! The Five-year-old Cooper is a true cuddle bug. He loves to lay on your lap! Cooper hasn’t met a stranger, loves kids and minds well with other dogs- as long as they don’t have his favorite squeaky toy. We aren’t sure if Cooper has had interactions with cats in his past.
This boy loves to play with toys. He’ll empty the toy box searching for the perfect one! We think Cooper would do best in a home where he can have a furry friend, since foster mom says he is anxious when left alone.
His favorite treats include raw baby carrots, raw green beans and cheese! When he hears the fridge open, Cooper bounces like a Tigger. Silly boy!
Cooper has had some back issues. No definitive diagnosis, however, his back is tender on occasion and he walks a little funny. Cooper’s forever home needs to be one that will monitor his safety with the couch and bed because he will jump off high furniture. Since he doesn’t know how to use a ramp – it would be beneficial if Cooper was adopted to a family that had time to train him to use ramps and has experience with IVDD.
Adoptable Dachshund Cooper 5 years – 12 lbs
Cooper is house-trained and knows how to use a potty pad if left home for an extended period of time. He prefers a leisurely stroll while outside on walks rather than a long walk. If running errands, he will go in the car with you and most likely sleep.
This snuggly boy is waiting for his forever family to scoop him up and love on him! He’s been fully vetted and is ready for adoption.
If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
