They are both 8-years-old. Lacey weighs 20 pounds and Allie is 19 pounds. Although we aren’t sure how they will respond to cats, each of them seems to like other dogs just fine. We believe they will do fine with children as long as there is proper supervision.

Both of these beauties do well walking on a leash but practice will make perfect. Because they are overweight, they need short and more frequent walks, along with a limited diet. Within a reasonable amount of time, and some additional supervision they should trim down and be in better shape. It’s terrific to see dogs enjoying the ability to feel better with proper diet and exercise!

Neither of the dogs has previously been house-trained, but both are crate trained and use pee-pads. They are each making progress in potty training outside. With additional work, consistency, and patience, they continue to improve.

Meet Lacey and Allie Video

Lacey and Allie like their crates and are completely cooperative when it’s time to go in. They don’t sleep with their fosters but do use a dog bed and enjoy sleeping together. This sweet pair shows no sign of food aggression and neither one has much interest in toys. They are easygoing and happy dogs!

Both dogs enjoy car rides and do well in transport. Allie is very timid at first when meeting new people but will warm up. Lacey is such a sweet and easy-going dog, she gets along with everybody. Allie is a bit shyer but comes around. Allie lets her outgoing sister do all the meet-and-greet work before she settles in.

She enjoys sleeping by herself but also likes sleeping with her sister, especially at night. Lacey is good at sleeping through the night; is very smart and is learning potty training pretty quickly. She has also mastered the doggie door. She isn’t a big barker and likes to see after her shy sister. Lacey mostly enjoys being inside the house.
