Doxie Mix Marshall is up for adoption! He’s a 3 year old, 25 pound playful dachshund mix. Marshall really likes to play with other dogs. Although, he can sometimes be a little intimidated, he is friendly when meeting dogs.
He’s a happy, go-lucky kind of hound! This lovable pooch is even amicable with cats and used to live with one. He also used to live in a home with a toddler and does well with kids of all ages.
Doxie Mix Marshall
Marshall enjoys going for walks and is well behaved on a leash. He’s fully house trained as well as easily crated. He willingly crates upon command, and even eats in his crate happily, when needed.
At night, Marshall likes sleeping in bed with his foster parents, but he enjoys using dog beds around the house during day. He can be possessive with dog chews. Will allow his foster mom to remove toys and chews, but will growl in front of other dogs.
Now, if you are headed off in the car, Marshall will gladly accompany you! He is happy and obedient in the car and sits quietly, and satisfied in the passenger seat. Marshall is a friendly enough dog, and well behaved enough to head out and about with you.
When meeting new people, he barks at first, but will relax once he’s comfortable. He does much the same when getting to know new dogs, but the more he knows you, the more he’ll listen to your cues that all is well and is sure to calm quickly. There is no excessive barking, but if he’s excited, he will quiet down when shown the water bottle. Marshall isn’t shy or timid and shows no signs of anxiety.
Marshall is such a smart, happy dog! He was given up due to a medical emergency with his previous owner and they were heartbroken to have to let him go. He’ll make a wonderful family dog and will be an asset to any home. He’s playful, sweet, and fully housetrained. He’s been a joy to have in the home of his foster family.
