Adoptable Dachshund Willifred – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Willifred is an amazing little 10 pound black and tan with the biggest heart of all.

Willifred is now ADOPTED! It’s great news for Willi, but if you are still looking for a pup of your own, be sure to check out our Adoptable Dogs Page!

Adoptable Dachshund Willifred

He simply wants to make you happy, whether it be by sleeping by your side or gleefully fetching you a new toy,

Wils doesn’t let his genetic lumbosacral defect slow him down! He is just like any dog, except he walks a little unsteadily and will need help onto the couch or bed.

He will bring a toy to you and wait patiently for you to throw it. If you don’t, you’ll see his giant eyes and feel the little nudge of his nose… “Ummm… did you not see? I brought you something! Hi! See? Hi!!!”

Adoptable Dachshund

Adoptable dachshund Willifred plays well with others; but will likely do best with a smaller dog. He wants nothing more than to follow you around and give you his heart of gold.

His previous owner worked far too long, leaving him in a crate for upwards of 12-14 hours. It was the owner’s unselfish love that sent him here. He will follow you to the crate, but all he wants to do is be with you, as he never got quite enough time with his owner.

Please consider Little Willipede if you have another dog. We prefer a childless home, but would consider older kids. He needs gentle care due to his back, but the veterinarian assured us that this impairment will never get worse. However it also will never get better. We have x-rays and information available. It doesn’t seem to affect little Wil whatsoever.

If you live in FLORIDA (at least part time) please fill out an application. We are unable to do out of state home checks for adoption and work hard to find the RIGHT home for each dog. Thank you!
