Adoptable Dachshund Lizzie – Adopted

Adopted! Adoptable Dachshund Lizzie is a 9 year old, 9 pound purebred who needs her forever home. Lizzie likes other dogs, but it is unknown as to how she feels about big dogs or cats.

Adoptable Dachshund Lizzie

Lizzie is fully potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She’s a great communicator! She does NOT like to be kept in a crate, but is so well behaved, it shouldn’t be needed.

A Message from Lizzie

“Hi, my name is Miss Lizzie. My foster mom calls me Busy Lizzie and Lizzie Lou. I am busy when I walk all around the house checking out everything, or asking to go for a walk or a ride or a treat. But honestly, like all dogs, I do sleep a lot too.

My favorite thing is to be near my human and I love to have my tummy rubbed. That’s when you know I am really comfortable with you. I’m smart and have excellent manners. My foster mom made me steps for getting on the sofa and I caught on the first time she showed me!”

“I like to play with toys – I don’t know how to fetch yet, but I am good at killing them. Foster mom says I remind her of Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund because I have such a big personality (I also look like him, especially when I cock my head.)

I have a big vocabulary and I am pretty talkative and make her laugh a lot. My dream is to be somebody’s special companion as I really bond with my human. And I am extremely sweet and cute. I can make your days full of sunshine and smiles!”

Adoptable Dachshund Lizzie

A dream home for Lizzie would be a place where she can maintain a special bond with her human, have toys to play with destroy, and go for plenty of walks. Very young children would not be suitable for her due to her age and size. She enjoys car rides and would likely enjoy a golf cart as well.

If you live in Florida (at least part time) and believe you can provide a loving and safe environment for this dog – please fill out an application with his name on it. Applying is free, if you are chosen, the adoption fee is $200.
